Stacy has an expertise in all aspects of employment law and business litigation. In 2001, Stacy earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles where she was a member of the International Legal Honor Society, Phi Delta Phi.
Stacy litigates employment cases including wrongful termination , wage and hour violations, independent contractor and exemption misclassification, unpaid bonuses and commissions, severance pay disputes, breach of contract, unfair competition, non-solicitation, theft of trade secrets, sexual harassment and retaliation cases, and representative actions under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Stacy advises founders, executives and businesses regarding executive compensation packages and severance agreements. Stacy conducts wage and hour audits for employers and counsels companies regarding employment issues unique to start-ups. Stacy also litigates business cases including breach of contract, fraud, failure to disclose, breach of fiduciary duty, interference with contract, unfair competition, defamation, insurance coverage and bad faith claims.
Prior to starting Berman North, Stacy was a Partner at Pierce & Shearer LLP with Scott Berman where she handled employment issues, real estate disputes, and business litigation. Stacy was a commercial litigator at Engelman Berger PC and Dillingham & Murhpy, LLP.
